Something To Be Proud Of

In Chapter 10 the children were at their cousin's house and their cousin called their dad - Atticus, a nigger-lover. One time my dad had gotten his identity stolen and someone bought a new car under his name and my mom almost went crazy on him assuming that he went out and bought a new truck, now of course he didn't and the so they called the bank and they told them his identity has been stolen and there was nothing we could do. My mom was so scared that she went crazy. She would be on the phone for hours talking to the police and trying to find out who did this, but more importantly how to get our money. But even through all this stress, anger, emotions, my dad stayed calm. My dad was my mom's rock and he kept positive, saying "we can get through this" and "they'll catch 'em." Thankfully, they did catch the guy, and we did get our money back, but even more impressive my dad chose to not press charges saying that all he cared about was "getting his money back".
